Organic Chemistry Lab Techniques
Lisa Nichols · Butte College
In this resource you will find theory and procedures on the main organic lab techniques (chromatography, crystallization, extraction, distillation) as well as general concepts on how to set up and heat apparatuses (see the Table of Contents tab for a more complete listing of topics). All procedures are accompanied by step-by-step pictures, and graphics are heavily utilized throughout the resource.

CLUE: Chemistry, Life, the Universe, and Everything
Melanie M. Cooper and Michael W. Klymkowsky · Michigan State University and UC Bolder
We developed much of the material in this new curriculum using research on how people learn and our own work on how to improve understanding and problem solving in college-level science classes. In previous studies we have found that our methods, which include dramatic reorganization and reduction of materials covered, increase student interactions and activity and lead to equal or better performance on standardized exams, greater conceptual understanding, and improved problem-solving skills.

Organic Chemistry I Lab Manual [CHM 234]
Saadia Khan & Larry Manno · Triton College
First of a two-semester course in the chemistry of carbon compounds. A systematic study of the chemistry of organic molecules with emphasis on the structure, nomenclature, synthesis, reactions, reaction mechanisms, and spectroscopic methods of analyses of alkanes, cycloalkanes, alkyl halides, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, and phenols. Laboratory work is focused on the development of skills and techniques for analysis and synthesis of organic compounds.
