Analytical Chemistry 2.1
David Harvey · DePauw University
The introductory course in analytical chemistry is the ideal place in the undergraduate chemistry curriculum for exploring topics such as experimental design, sampling, calibration strategies, standardization, optimization, statistics, and the validation of experimental results. Analytical methods come and go, but best practices for designing and validating analytical methods are universal.

Analytical Chemistry 2.1
David Harvey · David T. Harvey · 2016
As currently taught in the United States, introductory courses in analytical chemistry emphasize quantitative (and sometimes qualitative) methods of analysis along with a heavy dose of equilibrium chemistry. Analytical chemistry, however, is much more than a collection of analytical methods and an understanding of equilibrium chemistry; it is an approach to solving chemical problems. Although equilibrium chemistry and analytical methods are important, their coverage should not come at the expense of other equally important topics. Because chemistry is an experimental science it is essential that all chemistry students understand the importance of making good measurements. My goal in preparing this textbook is to find a more appropriate balance between theory and practice, between “classical” and “modern” analytical methods, between analyzing samples and collecting samples and preparing them for analysis, and between analytical methods and data analysis. There is more material here than anyone can cover in one semester; it is my hope that the diversity of topics will meet the needs of different instructors, while, perhaps, suggesting some new topics to cover.

Crystallography in a Nutshell
Martín Martínez Ripoll & Félix Hernández Cano · Spanish National Research Council (CSIC)
Structural knowledge obtained by Crystallography allows us to produce materials with predesigned properties, from catalyst for a chemical reaction of industrial interest, up to toothpaste, vitro ceramic plates, extremely hard materials for surgery use, or certain aircraft components, just to give some examples of small, or medium sized atomic or molecular materials.

Chemometrics Using R
David Harvey · DePauw University
The goal of this textbook is to provide an introduction to chemometrics suitable for the undergraduate chemistry curriculum at the junior or senior level. Although you may not yet know what we mean by the term chemometrics, you almost certainly make routine use of chemometric techniques in your classes and labs: reporting an average result for several trials of an experiment or creating a calibration curve.

Anlytical Chemistry Volume I
David Harvey · LibreTexts
This is the first half of David Harvey's Analytical Chemistry 2.1 Textbook. To allow printing in our bookstore we have divided that book into two volumes, this the first, is an introduction to analytical chemistry and covers wet chemistry techniques. The second volume concentrates on instrumental methods.

Non-Isothermal Kinetic Methods
Arhangel'skii et al. · Moscow State University
This application book is intended for senior students of natural science faculties and technical institutes, who use methods of thermal analysis for kinetic studies in their research. The book can help researchers in studies of thermal decomposition, oxidation of various substances and materials, and other similar processes. It can be used in the laboratories of industrial enterprises applying methods of thermal analysis for quality control of raw materials and final products.

Molecular and Atomic Spectroscopy
Thomas Wenzel · Bates College
A series of collaborative learning activities and accompanying text that develop the areas of molecular and atomic spectroscopy is provided. Chapters on basics of spectrophotometry, ultraviolet/visible absorption, molecular fluorescence, infrared, Raman and atomic spectroscopy are included. These activities are intended to be done in class by students working in groups, but can be modified for use as out-of-class exercises.
