A History of Designed Interiors

Every design choice draws on cultural memory, whether consciously or unconsciously. Interior design choices are a reflection of cultural values that lay on a spectrum of aesthetic and functional considerations and are meant to support programmatic intention. Chapters introduce students to comparative studies of objects and elements of interior design through diverse historic examples, ultimately resulting in today's practice.
