Shaping a Nation - Women's Roles in US History

History is often taught as a sequence of wars, presidencies, and legislative acts. However, this narrative frequently places women at the edges, as supporting characters or exceptional outliers. This book offers a different vantage point by centering the female experience. It proceeds from the conviction that women were not merely present in American history but were the architects of families, economies, and communities that formed the nation's foundation.
