EXPLORATIONS: An Invitation to Biological Anthropology (Scheib)

This textbook focuses on the discipline of biological anthropology, which explores who we are from biological, evolutionary, and adaptive perspectives. Topics discussed include evolutionary theory, molecular biology and genetics, the forces of evolution, nonhuman primates, the fossil record, the hominin species and the emergence of Homo sapiens as well as human biological variation and the concept of race, bioarchaeology, forensic anthropology, and human biology and health both past and present.
